Skills
• Machine Learning: 4 years total. I am nearly finished with a Master’s degree in machine learning from Georgia Tech (GPA 4.0) and I have 2 years of professional experience in consulting in which I was viewed as the ML specialist. I was selected for projects that required sophisticated ML models or unique applications of data science techniques. I also led a research time whose goal was to develop a neural network accelerator in order to reduce the investigation time required to determine if deep learning networks were a potential solution to a new client use case. • Tableau: 3 years total experience. 1 yr contract role managing all tableau dashboards for a 100 employee law firm. Dashboards included executive KPI reporting, investigational analysis results, productivity metrics and any ad-hoc reports requested by executive team. Additional 2 years experience via consulting at West Monroe in which tableau dashboards were regularly part of client deliverables. • SQL: 7+ years total experience. I spent 5 years managing ETL pipeline and data visualizations for Allied Universal. I owned the data from point of ingestion to end-user reports across all business segments, and maintained all relevant SQL queries for the pipeline. I also built queries in an academic setting as well as professional settings going all the way back to my first internship with the LA County Assessor’s office in 2018. • Python: 7+ years total experience. In all prior analytics roles, I have relied on Python and R for complex machine learning tasks, utilizing all the standard ML libraries (pandas, numpy, pyspark, tensorFlow, Keras, ScikitLearn, etc). Python and R were the company standards for all analysis at West Monroe. And In addition to personal projects dating back as far as 2015, I am also nearing the end of my graduate degree coursework in computer science from Georgia Technical Institute. • Soft Skills: Communication, Self-Motivation and Leadership. Before I ever became an analyst, I worked as a math teacher for much of my life. I specialize in conveying complex mathematical ideas in simple terms with helpful visuals. Every manager I have worked with has commented on this as well as my ability to work well with any individual, from any background and my ability to deliver quality work with little to no oversight. I possess strong self-motivation and an eagerness to learn as well as teach. My management style has been described as “flexible” adapting well to the needs of my direct reports.
