I am motivated by three things: (1) contributing - to deliver value, (2) simplification - or finding a better way, and (3) leadership, where I believe that a good leader creates new leaders, not followers. I have extensive experience leading large, complex operations across diverse sectors, including public service, banking, high-tech/ICT, and not-for-profit. During my career at Accenture, a leading consulting company, I was frequently parachuted into various accounts to resolve issues and improve profitability. And that's exactly what I did, and I enjoyed doing it. In addition to my proven bespoke 12-Step plan to improving business performance (profits, revenue, sustainability), my ability to foster a positive culture has been a key driver of my achievements. I am proud of being able to take this experience and apply it to my various roles with Boards. I conduct Board Assessments and have experience as a board member, Subcommittee Chair, Board Chair, Fractional CEO/COO, and Board/CEO mentor/coach. I contribute to strategic board-level discussions, leveraging expertise in AI, ICT, governance, scalability, and operational efficiency. My non-executive roles are marked by hands-on governance, financial oversight, and building strong relationships across all organisational levels. Outside of work, I enjoy sharing experiences and cooking with my family. I am dedicated to personal development, learning Spanish and honing my skills as a guitarist. Surfing and golf are my favourite summer pastimes.
