Hello, I'm Maria B.

I’m a curious and creative product designer with extensive experience in developing digital products. Over the years​,​ I’ve worked on everything from e-commerce and CMS solutions to service design—often managing several projects in parallel. My career began in software quality assurance​,​ where I quickly advanced to leadership roles (test manager and technical project leader)​,​ developing a strong sense of ownership of my commitments. I’ve worked in both Sweden and Denmark with international teams​,​ which has taught me the importance of openness​,​ clear communication​,​ and balancing different interests within projects. With a strong passion for visual communication​,​ I pursued further studies in Milan (Master’s in Visual & Web Design​,​ 2019–20) and UX design at Hyper Island (Karlskrona​/​hybrid​,​ 2021–22)​,​ which led me to my current role as a UX​/​UI designer. Creating designs that simplify​,​ clarify​,​ and improve has become a natural part of my daily work—and something I’m truly passionate about. I’ve built design systems from scratch in Figma and have also lectured at universities of applied sciences on the design process—from concept to finished product. Outside of work​,​ you’ll often find me on the dance floor doing Lindy Hop​,​ or at a concert​,​ exhibition​,​ or having a fika with family and friends.
