Human Resources Specialist
Deena Gilbert has built a career in consulting in all areas of HR as an interim HR Director, HR Consultant and Advisor for over 30 years with experience working for Willis/Towers Perrin, W.M. Mercer and in supporting other consulting project management roles to implement HRIS/Payroll Systems. Her consulting practice started with 100% referrals for several years and she has served clients in the US and abroad in EMEA, APAC countries as well as Mexico, South and Central America. While Deena has supported and led all areas of HR, her specific expertise is in Total Rewards on a global scale. Organizations she has worked with include American Red Cross, USPS, Crane & Company, Martin Marietta, AIL Systems, American Express, MassMutual and KAUST, in Saudi Arabia. She engages with clients to define total rewards philosophies contributing to the analysis and benchmarking to assure equal pay where possible and appropriate budgeting for current and future applications. She has rolled out performance management programs, managed benefits from Paid Family Leave to ACA to Retirement Plans while negotiating benefit contracts followed by employee communications, updates to handbooks and SPD's. She has also successfully recruited for talent from entry level to senior leadership having a focus on executive compensation. Systems she has implemented in project leadership and functional support roles include SAP, PeopleSoft, Workday, Paychex and Larson. For fun, she has taught downhill skiing at Jiminy Mountain Resort, participated in offshore sailing and sailboat racing off Long Island Sound, chaired a town parks and recreation committee, served as an officer for Kiwanis, Power Squadron Chapters and founded a hiking group built up to 700 members.
