A pioneer and early-day entrepreneur of technologies ranging from advanced computing systems, telecommunications, and cable, to Internet-based content and video delivery, Engdahl has established, built, and led technology companies to financial health by conceptualizing and executing strategic marketing and business development campaigns that consistently delivered substantial revenue gains. His ability to raise capital, set strategic vision and direction, turn around struggling endeavors, and establish joint ventures, including strategic partnerships, has led to IPOs and profitable sales of a number of companies. In September 2016, he was appointed President & CEO of Vidillion, Inc. Vidillion, a leading-edge video delivery and advertising technology provider for online video distributors and over-the-top system operators. Vidillion's suite of services enables content providers to optimize the monetization of their programming while allowing advertisers to precisely target connected viewers based on content, device, geography, activity history, language, and context. In April 2022, Vidillion Inc. was sold to Sabio Holdings, Inc. Upon selling Vidillion, Inc. to Sabio Holdings Inc. He led the transition under a 1-year contract for the newly created Vidillion Corp, producing an additional $5.1 to the bottom line over the first eleven months. Prior to Vidillion, Inc., Engdahl was the President and CEO of Net Power and Light (NPL), Inc. NPL, a provider of applications, infrastructure, and developer tools, enabling integrated advanced application sharing, video collaboration, and collaboration for businesses and consumers. In 2016 Engdahl sold Net Power and Light to Wickr Inc., forming a combined company valuation of over 180 million dollars. Before joining NPL, Engdahl was the founder and CEO of Second Screen Solutions Inc., a Technicolor-funded company delivering advanced Second Screen Solutions to the broadcast and cable television industries. Before founding Magic Ruby, Engdahl served as President and CEO of Radiance Technologies, Inc. in Sunnyvale, California, until Comcast acquired the company in 2008; Engdahl then became Senior Vice-president of the Radiance Division of Comcast. Before Radiance, Engdahl was President and CEO of Alopa Networks, Inc., a supplier of software and management systems to the cable television industry. C-Cor acquired Alopa in 2005. Engdahl also served as President and CEO of several other companies, including Avasta, a software outsourcing service company acquired by NaviSite in 2003; Alloptic, makers of fiber-optic components and terminal equipment; Kasenna, a developer of rich media software infrastructure for broadband Internet (Engdahl was the founding CEO); and Pathfire, a transport video media company, which Engdahl also founded. He holds six patents for telecommunications and video-cable products and has been active in setting standards in the telecom industry since 1984. When he isn't working, Engdahl enjoys spending time with his wife and children, piloting his single-engine airplane, volunteering in his local community, and playing guitar in his church band.
